Ian is an Assistant Headteacher at St Teilo’s Church High School in Cardiff. Prior to his role in managing educational change, Ian worked in pastoral leadership as Director of Studies and as a highly successful maths teacher. He is the author of the bestseller The Perfect Maths Lesson and is passionate about breaking down what Ofsted wants and what your students need. His experience as a trainer, school leader, governor and author has taught Ian that, although no teacher is perfect, their lessons can be. Helen’s extensive teaching career included roles of mathematics subject leader, assistant head teacher and AST. She worked as a regional adviser with The National Strategies, before becoming an independent consultant. She is a mathematics subject expert for Ofqual, an accredited NCETM professional development lead and was an experienced Ofsted inspector. She is passionate about improving mathematics pedagogy and leadership of mathematics teaching and learning.
